Bitsy is a certified instructor from The Yoga of Energy Flow. She holds certificates in Yoga for Senior Citizens, Restorative Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Yin Yoga and Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra. She is currently working on her 300HR in Yin from Summers School of Yin.
Bitsy offers beginner yoga, and all levels of Hatha and Vinyasa Flow, combining asanas (poses) and explorations of breath to enhance your energy. Additionally, she teaches Wall and Chair Yoga, incorporating poses and alignment using the wall and chairs for support. She also recently trained in Aerial Yoga so she could incorporate key floating poses within Yin/Restorative and Yoga Nidra. Bitsy is known for her classes combining Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra; a form of guided meditation.
Bitsy has provided private lessons and yoga coaching to support a client's health and wellness goals as well as prepping them for entry-level yoga classes. She incorporates her love of dance, rhythm, poetry and music into her yoga classes.
Bitsy is passionate about learning new things to deepen her own practice and loves to share what she has learned with her students. She works to help people discover yoga; improving function, mobility, and energy.
Bitsy currently teaches at the YMCA WNC, Yoga and Massage (YAM), Fletcher Parks & Recreation and Blue Ridge Community College. She is also teaching online and outdoors and can provide private and corporate yoga classes upon request.
Mara Watts is a 250-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) from Asheville, NC. She began practicing yoga in 2006, completing her training in 2014.
Mara is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with all body types, flexibility levels and ages. Her goal is to create a safe, warm and welcoming space, offering accessible yoga for all. Mara enjoys teaching Gentle Yoga, Hatha Flow, and Therapeutic style classes.
Yoga class with Mara is fun, playful, creative and heartfelt! Mara loves and is passionate about yoga because it makes her feel good inside and out, and so naturally, she loves offering that to others on the yoga mat. Her hope is that her students step off of the mat feeling balanced and renewed.
